When the Wm. S. Middleton VA Medical Center looked to relocate their call center which services all VISN 12 they had limited options due to the insufficient space in the existing hospital and a lack of available site locations for a new facility.  A decision was made to repurpose the existing and mostly abandoned Building 2 which originally served as the boiler house for the medical campus.
