(formerly St. Francis Hospital)

Located just south of Chicago, MetroSouth’s Cardiology Program is nationally recognized for its advanced cardiac care, including open heart surgery, as well as, coronary and peripheral stenting, with state-of-the-art catheterization and electrophysiology labs. IBC has an ongoing relationship with MetroSouth involving both remodeling projects and MEP infrastructure upgrades.

Electrophysiology Lab

A former storage space within the Cardiac Care department was expanded into new lab space. Designed and constructed to Illinois Department of Public Health Operating Room standards, the upgrades included bringing the fire/smoke dampers and med gas systems to current code.

Cardiac Catheterization Lab

The Human Resources Department on the first floor was relocated to accommodate a new cardiac catheterization lab, doubling the size of the existing suite. Work included a new mechanical/electrical room facility on the first floor parking deck, and a supplemental fluid cooling system was designed to accommodate current and future equipment demands.

CHF Treatment Suite

The remodeling of existing hospital patient rooms into a specialized suite intended for the treatment of congestive heart failure. Included reworking of all medical systems on that floor to meet current code standards.

Wound Care & Hyperbaric Clinic

Currently in design, this project involves the remodeling of approximately 2,200 square feet of existing space to accommodate a new Wound Care and Hyperbaric Clinic.
