Originally constructed in 1902, with various additions to date, serves over 700 students and faculty, with mechanical systems that ranged in age from the upgrades and additions that have taken place. Many educational facilities share this experience and share the significant challenges posed by budgetary constraints and stretching maintenance as far as it can go. One of the solutions that have been utilized to upgrade systems that can no longer be maintained with an alternative financial vehicle is Performance Contracting. Performance Contracting allows for the cost of energy saved to be used to pay for the upgrades implemented.
